The Tiny House Story

Building Myself a Very Small Life

Locally Sourced Materials

One of my main aims while building my tiny house was to use locally source, sustainable materials. I wanted to keep the carbon footprint of the house as low as possible. Local timber, second hand materials and reclaimed windows make up my home.

Design and Build

I was passionate about designing all the aspects of my home, making it bespoke and tailored to my needs and lifestyle. I wanted to let the materials we had, govern the design and let it change and morph as we built it. Building something you have designed yourself is a truly unique and special experience.

Low waste, High reward

It gives me huge pleasure to look around my home now, and know that it was built with tremendous love and care, using sustainable materials, and with little waste. I see all the friends and family that helped me build it, I see the stories and the memories that were made, and that is what has made it into a home I am incredibly proud of.
